Lord-Lieutenant unveils Bressingham AED

Sir Richard Jewson today unveiled a new AED (external debrillator) at Bressingham Primary School.
Peter Orford, an ex-pupil at the school, who, with his wife Margaret, runs the Friends Charity Shop in Lowestoft and who has raised over £80,000 for the Norfolk Heart Trust over the last decade, requested that some of the money he has raised be used to fund the defibrillator to help save lives in the community.
We were given a wonderful welcome by Head Teacher Mrs Gudde and her pupils.
Andrea Taylor, another ex-pupil and now the Chief Physiologist running the Heart Rhythm Management Unit at NNUH gave the children a brilliant talk about defibrillators in a way that was entertaining and not in the least frightening for them.
The Lord-Lieutenant then unveiled the defibrillator and we were all shown round what is clearly an excellent and very friendly school.
