TOE probe funded

£14,400 donated to NNUH cardiology to purchase a Transoesophageal Echo probe to assist with AF ablations.
The ablation (burning or freezing) of complex rhythms such as Atrial Fibrillation requires the operators to be able to see inside the heart chambers with ultrasound. Although the department already has a TOE probe for general use they needed one dedicated to use in the EP lab (originally funded by our Sparks4Heart appeal).
